Judge: Juliana P Heaton

Judge Heaton heard my disability case on Mar.26 2014. Actually on my birthday. She made me feel comfortable in her court room. She told me before we started if I needed a break or to stand and move around, it would be fine. I did have to stand up for a little while after sitting 15-20 min. She seemed genuinely interested in hearing what I had to say. She listend very close to what I said and seemed to soak up the information at hand. My attorney (Kenneth Miller) ask most all the questions. Judge Heaton only had 2 or 3 questions for me. She actually stopped my attorney before we were finished. To make her decision then and there. She didrule in my favor, whitch im grateful for. Judge Heaton seems to really care and try to understand what problems you are having. Before I left she wished me well with my health problems. And also a Happy Birthday!! Another reason she seems to be a REAL person. She sure didn't have to do that!!

i think judge sloss needs to get facts about disabled people hunting and fishing before making decision on a case and screw up peoples lives passing a judgement when he know's nothing about disabled hunters and fisherman

Went in front of Mr Barker on Nov 8th 2013 then he decided to send me to their doctors after my hearing I went to one Dec 9th and the other one Jan 6th Really do not feel I am going to be approved because during my hearing this judge made me feel as if I was wasting his time being in front of him. Had a video conference hearing so who knows what is going to happen

I also have not recieved my letter of decision in the mail yet. Judge Smith made me feel very at ease, the anxiety level went down the longer he spoke to me, I felt like I could trust him more than my own attorney at the time. Judge Smith is a real person, like one you would have sitting in front of your tv with you at home. Good luck, if you are reading this you are probably worried about your appearance date in front of him, it will be fine as long as you are legitimate and honest.

URGENT JUDGE AND NEEDS ATTENTION IN THE WORST WAY. WHAT DO I DO ..I was found disabled back in dec last year. ssi is with holding my monthly check from me that i use to live on. they made a mistake on what to pay my attorney and are now withhoding my ssi because Judge John E. Case re-opened my case after finding i was disabled and added more back-pay. I am about to be evicted because I havent been able to pay my rent on disablity alone which is only $375. my rent is $600 a month and my only source of income is social security. shouldnt that amount that my attorney was owed come from my back pay and not my monthly check im suposed to live on. i called both local and main social security offCie and they tell me there is nothing they can do to help me. Judge if you read this please I beg you to respond to me. I asked my attorney for help and they tell me my case is done and theres nothing they can do either. PLEASE HELP ME. You were a very nice Judge and made me feel comfortable but now i feel overwhelmed that no one wants to help me. Please help. this is real urgent. im sick over it.

I have yet to receive my decision in the mail on my case, so this is an impartial review. Judge Smith seemed like a very professional, compassionate and caring person and even though I cried through most of my testimony and had to tell him about some of the more embarrassing truths about my disability, he made me feel at ease. He seemed like a good person. I would say say IF you find yourself in front of Judge Smoth, count yourself lucky :)

He accused me of drug seeking in 2010 and didnt read doctors reports of a office visit with 11 return narcotics, 2 weeks later return visit of 22 narcotics missing a prescription for the next two weeks. Not the behavior of a drug addict. He discriminates and was transferred from knoxville for his discrimination. He is worthless crap

In the many years that I have appeared before Judge Kile, I found him to be professional, sympathetic and kind. When he denied a case, I always knew why. He will be missed.

After Vocational rehab stated i was not employable Joan denied benefits to protect prior judge discrimination. She is not fair and is completely discriminative to the citizens of america.

This woman is 67 years old and needs to go home and spend more time with the grandkids. She is an idiot who barely made a living as a lawyer. She should retire now and live out a comfortable upper class retirement and look forward to a horrible eternity

I had my hearing about 2 weeks ago and she was nice and straight forward. If you get this judge she will treat you with dignity and with respect. Win or lose she was fair and made me feel comfortable and I really felt like she cared. A very nice lady indeed.

These statistics are flawed in the percentages presented. They all are flawed on this site. The only numbers that reflect the true behavior of an ALJ are his or her decisions on the merits. ALJ Grissom had 213 determination on the merits of the claims. (Subtract the dismissals.) 122/213 = 57% approval rate, 43% denial rate. He is about an average ALJ in his approval rates vis a vis the national average. Comment by an experienced advocate who has appeared in front of scores of ALJs in decades of client representation.

Judge Seigel started our hearing early...always a plus in my book! He gave odd hypos, I thought, but a lot of them, and they eventually got to where they needed to be. I will reserve judgement on how that goes until I see the decision. Very dry, pleasant presentation. Will put your client at ease well enough.
