I need help! I've called every office that I could find including the commissioner for social security, the social security office and only one person has given me an answer. I have a ruling from 07 in my favor that was never fulfilled. Please help! I've run out of options and don't know what to do because there isn't enough information.

I went before her, very recently. She was initially friendly and then immediately became condescending when she began questioning me. I was filing for permanent disability due to major depression and bipolar disorder. About the only questions she asked me about (and she made sure she made a big deal about it) was some mission trips and vacation trips. I believe she already had her decision before I ever walked in the door. She asked the job expert if I could physically work at a job assembling nuts/bolts or being a garment bagger. The expert said yes. That was it for her. Then my rep asked the expert if I could retain either of those jobs if I missed an average of four days a month. The expert said no. I very much felt like she had discounted me and saw me as someone trying to work the system before I ever walked through the door. I will be requesting a copy of the audio recording of my hearing upon my appeal.

This judge seemed very nice. He seemed to really “get,” what I deal with on a daily basis. My representative felt the same way I did. I’m not sure what his decision will be, but I’m hopeful.

Mr. Gutierrez is a crook and a first class LIAR! He denied my case and the appeal, despite having over 20 active medical issues, many of which are severe and/or potentially fatal. He copied and pasted numerous sentences from various parts of my medical; and, when he made reference to my records in the denial letter, he distorted the fact of the matter. So really, the multiple times that he perjured himself in manner, he threw the standard Straw Man garbage into a poorly concocted report which made no sense at all. A grade schooler could have done better, as even GUTierrez's grammar was abysmally poor. I have been told this guy is extremely racist against White males, makes his decision before the hearing even starts. Though having access to your medical records, he does not read them. This rogue judge needs to be removed from his position.

I won partial disability after a federal remand. I'm not over my illnesses, none of them I cry in pain daily. I struggle sleepingm I actually recently found out from a neurologist that I have small fiber neuropathy that led to a lot of my fibromyalgia illness, plus 60% hereditary from my mom. I was in a car accident in 97 he thinks the neuropathy started then that's when my migraines started. I was forced to try to go back to work and failed to as my job was threatened by my employers, but this judge felt I was better for some reason. My impression of her was she understood, but after reading her report she did not understand at all. Saying someone is better as they have an asthma attack in the court room and because they try to do something and you found that they would not be able to do this either should not put them partially disability. But fully. Unfortunately I will not keep fighting I'm out of points I will just have to wait until retirement comes. But its unfortunate we pay into a system so broken it helps people who never pay into it, then those of us who cant get as my neurologist puts it energy into the cell and that fibromyalgia recognized in 2012 counted as severe by "my rheumatologist " who knew me who not only saw me but emailed me about my symptoms and my multiple other doctors and two other rheumatologist who saw me. I have other Autoimmune it takes years to figure out yet you still had it back in 2017 I tried to explain it nobody hears your pain and suffering, your fatigue nobody gets it until they have it, or know someone with it as bad as you have it. The stuff listed isn't near as bad as my fibromyalgia, neuropathy, and autoimmune stuff other than my asthma. Sad bc I liked her disposition. But maybe the surgery amplified all this the neurologist said. It's sad you cant get help. But neuropathy is disabling. And nobody listens.

I applied in 2011, 2016,2017, and appealed in 2018. I was DENIED, by this *******. It is documented I can not hold a job because of my medical issues, and written by several of my doctors for me NOT TO WORK. I am diagnosed with Bipolar, PTSD, Stockholm's, Carpal Tunnel, Raynaud's, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Arthritis, Trauma from Sexual Abuse, and DOmestic Violence, Panic and Anxiety attacks, Social anxiety, Migraines, Eating Disorder, Chronic Fatigue, Add, Asthma. I CAN NOT WORK. HAVE BEEN HOMELESS ( COUCH HOPING FOR 5 YEARS) NO INCOME, AND LOSING FRIENDS ALONG THE WAY. I HAVE BEEN FALSELY ACCUSED OF CRIMES BY MY ABUSERS SO I WOULDN'T BE ALE TO SEE MY CHILDREN, AND DESPERATELY TRYING TO STAY POSITIVE. I HAVE SOUGHT SHELTER ANYWHERE I COULD, IN THE MOST DESPERATE TIMES, AND IT TURNED OUT HORRIBLY. THE JUDGE, JUDGED ME WRONG, AND FALSELY ACCUSED ME OF DOING DRUGS WHEN I HAD NOT. I'M NOT THE TYPICAL HOMELESS. I DON'T DO DRUGS. I'M NOT AN ALCOHOLIC. I'M COLLEGE EDUCATED. IT'S NOT MY FAULT, I FELL VICTIM TO ABUSE, AND CAN NOT RECOVER. HE IS MAKING IT WORSE FOR ME!!

We were before her twice. She denied first case. Appeals council remanded because she had not considered the opinion of a renowned specialist at Baylor. She really had a attitude at the second hearing. This time, the Appeals Council remanded again and sent her a very detailed list of errors she had made that were not in accordance with social security laws and procedure. So, I would have to say she is not as well versed in SSI law as others have said. This time they remanded to another ALJ because of all her screw ups.

I went to this so called judge on April 6, 2018 in the Dallas North office on Coit road with a mountain of evidence to prove my multiple mental disabilities and he denied my case 101 days later. He makes political decisions. Because I am an educated white male from the affluent neighborhood of Colleyville, TX he denied me. My family pays a fortune in taxes to pay for Stanley salary which he clearly doesn't earn. Warning this judge hates white men from affluent backgrounds.

Judge: Whitfield Haigler
7/13/2018 11:58:03 AM

It's been a while since I was approved for Disability but I wanted to report that the honorable Judge: Whitfield Haigler, was easy to be in front of when I went for my hearing. I was terrified of what would happen, but he and all the other people who were there made me feel at ease and I was able to answer their questions and present my case for disability. I am glad I won't have to go through that again. I waited 2 1/2 years to be approved for disability and by not being able to work, I went bankrupt and lost all my assets. I feel that the Social Security Administration should not be so difficult to convince when someone applies for their Social Security. I started working at the age of 16 and worked until the age of 60. After spending years to build up my credit and assets, I lost everything I had due to becoming unable to work, then applying for disability and getting denied three times before being approved. I had to sell everything I owned just to live for those 2 1/2 years with no income at all. Now I am 65 and have a small Social Security income, but I have no assets, and my credit rating is shot to pieces. I will never be prosperous again as long as I live. At this time, I am staying with family, waiting for a low-income apartment to become available for me. I do thank God that this Judge finally approved my disability because if he hadn't, I don't know what would have happened to me.

It took me three years and a lot of my own energy and work due to slack on my attorneys part to get my SSDI approved. Judge sarah Cyrus is my heroine because she pointed out to me that my attorney’s had been “waiting” my case out for max payment. Due to their negligence I’m sorry to say I will be losing my left lower leg. But judge Cyrus personally set up my SSA appt and expedited my insurance so I could finnaly get the help I deserved. If I could take to dinner anyone in the world, dead or alive, I would choose judge Cyrus because decent people are scarce. Thank you for your service you give me hope that there are people out there that care.

I had my hearing November 15th 2017 and I'm still awaiting a decision from the judges office. My lawyers don't know anything other than it is still in the judges hands. I was told is have a decision within 90 days and as you can see, I'm still waiting. He was a great listener and i didn't feel intimidated at all. My issue is that the "process" takes entirely too long and some of us are in desperate need for a decision so that we know where to go from here...how do i get my surgeries..how do i get the injections i need...how do i keep paying my bills...what am i going to do about rent..All of this in some cases is contingent on a speedy decision. Thanks for listening.

I went to see this Judge who denied my case even though others have been approved having only one of the many (about 8)conditions that I have with no cure. Something is just not right, if justice was truly blind then the judge should not be able to see your color, know your gender or where you are from.

Judge: Derek N Phillips

Judge Phillips was very fair. Paid attention to all my testimony, then he corroborated everything with my medical records. He was very nice, calm, and patient. He did not rush me and he seemed very caring. If you don’t lie and your records show it, I believe he is very fair. God Bless this judge! I pray for his health!

Debra Nolan
Judge: Anne H Pate
2/24/2018 2:17:08 AM

Anne Pate heard my my daughter's case. My daughter has a fever back injury from a four car pile up. This was in 2011. She also has PTSD, severe depression as was documented. This judge determined that she could work for six hours in a day a job that allows her to sit no more than 30 minutes or stand no more than 30 minutes. This judge isn't here when I had to call the Georgia crisis help line because my daughter has been suicidal. Her sister come see her. She doesn't go see them. Plus she had that Alisha worked five months ago which isn't true. She hasn't worked at all since 2013. After the wreckless driver smashed us, she had been out of work since 2011. She tried to work again in 2013. Many times I had to pick her up because she couldn't do her job due to pain. How can a person pay for medical bills on 6 hours a day? Is that really gainfully employed?? The vocation expert said if she missed 3 days at the 3 types of jobs she could do, she would be terminated. That would really go well being fired all the time for a person with PTSD. Where is common sense? I hope Social security reads my daughter's file and see that this judge was dead wrong! Alisha has a problem in that she isn't dramatic. Yet people with PTSD are not as a rule. They fold in. I will continue to pay my daughter's medical bills because I want to keep her alive as social security doesn't care if she lives. I'm selling my house so I can care for her. My daughter suffers due to no fault of her own. Yet if she was an addict she would get the help she needs. . Not right. Spondolothesis Spondolsis, and loss of disc height is a joint. It's the most important bones in your body. Back bones hold the person up. Yet I'm here when she is in tears from the pain. Ms. Anne Pate is not. I was here all the times she thinks life isn't worth living. Imagine as a mother hearing that from your child. Yet just like the ***** that hit us and broke my back in two places, we as victims always suffer. Alisha's back is ruined and yet no justice from this judge.

Judge: Ralph F Shilling
2/21/2018 5:05:15 PM

The only conclusion I can come to is that The Honorable Shilling is trying either run for office soon, or take over the VA administration. He denied me recently on the grounds that I can work while: not being able to operate a motor vehicle; must walk with a cane due to knee, foot, and back issues; I have anxiety disorders which include PTSD, Agoraphobia, ADHD, Bipolar, and Manic Depression. Yes, I believe he will do just fine in either position he chooses. Those people don't care about us either. Amazing that he is one of the highest paid judges in the nation for Social Security. Now I know why he is.

Judge: Derek N Phillips
12/15/2017 6:59:49 AM

He seemed very kind and empathetic. He immediately tried to calm me and let me know that he understands I don't feel well, but to try my best and speak up. I am already a very anxious person, so I very much appreciated his calming and understanding nature. He was also very patient with my memory issues and issues with losing my train of thought, which sometimes causes me embarrassment, because it frustrates some people. Instead of making me feel embarassed, he would give me time to collect my thoughts or ask me questions. I never felt judged, only understood. I wish there were more people like him in the world.

I went before Judge Whitfield Haigler and must say that he is a very polite and respectful Judge. He explains the process, before the Hearing begins and asks if there is anything that you do not understand. He is a fair Judge and tries to make the process more comfortable. This is probably one of the strangest hearings I have ever had. He does not go over the case at all, He only asks the strangest questions about the moment. He will dx the client and tell you the doctors were wrong. He wants the client to go to vocational rehab, and you need to have this done before you get to court. He also wants letters from anyone the client has ever seen, parole, probation, etc. He tries to teach you the whole time and focuses on the representative more than the client. He wants you to question the VE, and that is different.

Judge: Daniel Curran
5/13/2017 10:01:59 AM

When we walked in the room he was already mad. He didn't look at any of the information on my case prior to my hearing. He was mad because an exhibit had a page 2 and his assistant Fred knew it was a blank page and didn't note that in my file. He was mad because my file was a paper file not digital. He was mad because my attorney didn't know all the exibit numbers that corresponded to the documents because it wasn't made available until the day of the hearing. He postponed the hearing for a third time. I would not recommend him for a Judge on a dog show. He needs to retire or be evaluated for Biopolor disorder. I'll be 60 in a few months I guess he's waiting until I reach retirement age.

This is a heartless ***** judge. I was denied social security for which I worked. The representative from Texas Rehabilitation and the other representative agreed that I was not capable of working. I am ill with no chance of getting better. It took him several months past the deadline to tell me that I was denied. He commented ,in the report that he had been a judge for a long time and that I didn't walk into the room like I was ill. What kind of medical diagnosis is that. Also ,one of the first sentences states that I meet the criteria for disable, but he still denied my case. After reading reviews and stats on him,it's evident that he derives satisfaction and power by denying people. He is a *******.

Had Judge Mariben today, she was very professional and questioned the claimant fully and fairly. But she came up with more hypothetical person examples than I have ever encountered before for the vocational expert to comment on. Whoever your representative is, may sure he OR she is prepared to cross-examine the VE. Don't know if our claim was successful but the experience was priceless. Judge Daniel Curran was fair. If you have the facts and required documentation he will rule in your favor. If you do not then he won't. My husband worked for 30 years at the same job before he became disabled. I believe that was taken into account as well. Judges tend to be cold and uncaring when their decisions do not benefit us. Otherwise, we praise them and their professionalism. It is just human nature I guess. The bottom line is that the law is the law, whether we like it or not. The same happens when we get a traffic ticket, Damn cops, so cold & uncaring. The light was yellow, I swear. Judge Perez seemed professional to me. Perhaps because she ruled on my favor.

I have always been suicidal but with hope, Now I don't see any alternatives. I'm not saying i deserve it, but I don't understand that they are approving so many and yet I am unworthy of the help. I am saying this so if he might see this, he might think a little harder when revieiwing others whose life may depend on his decision.

Really like this ALJ. He is extremely calm and soft-spoken. Very clear about how he wants the hearing to be conducted. Basically he does background and leaves work and RFC to the rep. Very measured in his approach but thoughtfully so. I had a client who was difficult to elicit testimony from and he was very patient with my methods and the results. Not sure what the outcome is, but he appeared to be fair and he was very polite and decent to my client, which is always appreciated. Hope he stays this way.

First hearing he states he will decide in my favor if my attorney can get him evidence of gut troubles for more than 10 years, so we provided colonoscopy from 2001. Wait over 2 years and judge admits my hearing delay was due to,an error in his office and then advises my attorney he will decide in my favor if just one of my 26 doctors has documented my restroom habits. 5 months later I am having heart problems that I don't see a positive recovery from. His discriminating against me based on age is unacceptable. I did not ask to be this sick and dying, and had I realized I was disabled I would have filed for the long term disability I paid into for 17 years. This is not charity, I worked for this disability, and worked hard as an eyeball nurse. The system fails due to lack of competence!

Judge: Raymond J Malloy
11/5/2015 8:08:15 PM

This Judge was very fair. He listened to all 3 experts on the SS side. He asked me questions and listened to my answers. My att really did not have to do anything during the hearing. She did oranize and prepare my case I think that is the most important part of prepaing for your hearing. My case was approved. Thank God. I am now able to continue getting the medical treatment I need. I start PT next week.I put this in Gods hands and pray for all of you who are suffering to get he help you need. God Bless

Judge: Joseph Liken
8/11/2015 4:10:21 PM

I saw Judge Liken today and I believe he is a very good listener. I felt very comfortable in his courtroom. He was not intimidating like many judges. Regardless of the outcome I was happy to be seen by Judge Liken.

Judge: Whitfield Haigler
8/10/2015 11:47:00 PM

I would like to say that I went before this judge and my experince with him was all right and if I can say so fair as well. I have not got my decesion but when I was face to face he seem like I would be approved. Well now the waiting game begins.

Kami Nedbalek Attorney at Law
Judge: Elizabeth B Dunlap
8/8/2015 3:08:45 PM

Judge Dunlap is one of, if not the, very best ALJ's. Her knowledge of Social Security Disability law is amazing, and she is patient, kind, professional, and willing to provide extra time to complete the record--even to order a post-hearing consultative examination. When my clients are fortunate enough to be assigned to her, I tell them they have the best. I've even gone so far as to say that I probably will not appeal her decision, because it probably will be right. I'm shocked to read that anyone would think negatively of her.

Judge: David R Gutierrez
8/4/2015 12:26:36 PM

My husband just went to court with Judge Gutierrez. I am very unhappy with the outcome. Mr. Gutierrez (Judge) denied my husband on a questionnaire that we filled out 4 years ago. We were honest on the questionnaire as of today my husband cannot do what he did back then. Letters from all his Doctors say that. If we didn't deserve back pay that is fine but my husband should have never been denied completely. We are so close to loosing our home we can't even put a full meal on the table for dinner. I work 2 jobs just to try to make it. My husband can't work. I am so upset with this outcome, I can't believe this happened.

Judge: Keith Allred
7/10/2015 9:34:11 AM

I can confirm the last person's comments. I've waited more than enough time to have received MY OWN MONEY from social security disability only to have this so called judge WASTE my time and tax payers time with the circus over there they call a disability hearing. This Keith Allred should be ashamed of himself for ruining credibly disabled people's lives. He gives all the weight o his decision to a five minute office visit by A DOCTOR WHO IS PAID BY SOCIAL SECURITY TO DENY CREDIBLE ILL PATIENTS. I've had two more surgeries and countless tens of thousands of hours of suffering all to go to this joke of a disability hearing run by this sham of a federally run tax payer funded garbage can called disability determination services. If you get Keith Allred don't even bother wasting your time. He is a going to automatically deny you. Sorry to those who have this so called judge. I can't Even give him a half star rating. He gets a ZERO rating.

Bill Allison
Judge: W. Thomas Bundy
6/11/2015 4:32:54 PM

These comments are interesting. A few people actually like him and think he does a good job (the winners). Then there are the "worst judge ever" and "biased and judgmental" (the losers). I have appeared before Judge Bundy several times. I haven't always won, but I usually do. My take on him is that if the claimant is deserving, and his representative does a good job of representing him and is prepared for the hearing, he will award benefits. He doesn't always get it right, but who does? All in all - if you are a SS disability client - don't go to a hearing unrepresented. If you do get representation, get referrals from lawyers or other people who have been through the process. If you find a competent SS representative and you truly fit the SS definition of disabled, you will get a fair hearing from this judge, in my experience.

Judge: Truett M Honeycutt
6/8/2015 7:38:20 PM

Most entertaining ALJ I've practiced in front of...drives VE's, ME's and case record typists crazy with his marathon 2 hour hearings...but he gives everyone present a chance to have their say and does it respectfully and professionally...

Judge: Donna M Edwards
6/3/2015 2:27:08 PM

I agree with the other 2 posted "reviews" of ALJ Edwards. I had client with a document FSIQ of 44. Same client has numerous physical impairments. Denied. Got the case remanded by the AC - now the client has passed aways - from her disabilites - while still waiting to get approved. Horrible.

Judge: Elizabeth B Dunlap
5/23/2015 11:50:31 AM

This judge does base her decisions on her personal opinions and assumed facts. She will not take the time to recieve all of the information to make an accurate decisions.

Judge: Gilbert Rodriguez
5/12/2015 11:33:46 AM

Ive been waiting 8 months on a descision from this judge. He has kept it tied up in editing and for some reason wont finish. If you have a descision on a case why drag it out. People need help out here in the real world.

Judge: Whitfield Haigler
4/3/2015 11:19:27 AM

Judge Haigler was previously in Shreveport for a couple of years and was always very fair. You would be hard pressed to find a better ALJ.

Judge: Gilbert Rodriguez
2/20/2015 12:49:44 PM

My advice...If you have this judge for a hearing coming up...withdraw your request for hearing and file a new application. You will likely have a new hearing before he would even come out with a decision on your claim. I have a client that has been waiting 15 months and a client that has been waiting 13 months for a decision. This is absolutely absurd. We hear so much on the news about the overly easy judges. Why not about horribly bad judges.

Marselina Hurtado
Judge: Gilbert Rodriguez
2/4/2015 12:52:12 PM

Judge Gilbert Rodriguez keep postpone my hearing already two times last year. I'm very depress and anitexy that he keep postpone my hearing. Don't know why but my lawyer Laura Hernandez said he have everything he needs in medical health problems. I'm in pain with all of them like high blood pressure, arthicis on left knee , back pain, high thyroid etc. Last Wednesday on January 28 I had no filling on my left my arm, hand went hospital diagnosed with patpitations and tendonitis can't use my left hand in so much pain. I walk with a cane use my right hand and I'm so depress and stress can not sleep or eat my stomach in pain lose weight like crazy. So I need help medicare denied me because I don't get SSID I told them my lawyer working on it. So I need the judge help or some else to look over case because judge isn't doing his job. I need health insurance so I can go to doctor for my health problems.

Judge: Keith Allred

Falsefied documents lied on legal paper work. Violated civil rights. Needs to be sued for civil rights violations and damages. Should be ashamed. LIED ON LEGAL DOCUMENTS. PADDED THE CASE WITH FALSE MEDICAL RECORDS

Judge: Daniel Curran
1/3/2015 12:45:09 PM

I received a partial judgment from Curran and one can see from his decision he will hunt and peck what ever evidence he wishes to deny a favorable decision to a high income earner. He used my age as the main reason to give me a partial decision and not my disabilities I suffered when I first applied for back almost two years ago that made me unable to work anymore. ****** my lawyer and myself to no end. Whoever else comes into this man's court room come very prepared and make sure you have your RFC filled out and in your records. Have all your "i's" dotted and your "t's" crossed. You'll need to beat this guy at the game. He will listen more to the "vocational expert" than you.

Judge: Robert N Burdette

In my lowest time, i prayed. Judge Burdett was so kind and non judgmental. I'm grateful to his honor and understanding. I lost everything but my life, thanks be to God. I'm homeless without my own. They say you get back what you put in. Amen

Judge: Donald R Davis
9/18/2014 8:29:54 AM

Well, ALJ Davis is certainly different. Very much the "teacher" during the hearing instead of the "judge". One had better have very carefully and COMPLETELY reviewed the file as he will ask about obscure information and only refer to it by form number or even box number on the form. His approach to the VE is very strange, and you should be prepared to"pose it" to the VE which is basically you asking the VE some questions....however, he wants you to assume that the VE is the ACTUAL VE assigned to your client, not just another VE at a hearing.....all I can say is good luck.

Judge: Walter Orr
9/5/2014 10:26:59 AM

Judge Walter Orr is a discriminator! I have been unable to work since 2008, applied for disability on my own first, denied. Then hired a lawyer, reapplied, denied, appealed, denied, appealed again and went before the Judge, again DENIED! Come on, what do you need, to get approved! I had all the paperwork from various doctors, and he still thinks I can work!! How can you work, when you are in constant pain, and take medicines that knock you out.

Judge: Gilbert Rodriguez
8/14/2014 7:20:26 PM

openly mocked me in court and in his denial, wrote awful things about me that were not in the record. I pray to god that this judge is removed so he cannot do more harm to people.

Judge: Keith Allred
8/13/2014 11:18:51 PM

I found Judge Allred to be very professional. He gave me all the time I needed to explain my situation and was patient and took the time to listen. If you find his name on your paperwork, you can plan on a relaxed, fair, and complete hearing. Judge Allred is more than apt at reading people too so no BS, be straight and honest or he will call you out!

Judge: Cora P Williams

Terrible person and a worse ALJ. Didn't consider the medical evidence at all, based her "judgement" on her opinions only! Horrible!

Daniel Waters
Judge: Daniel Curran
6/3/2014 12:55:55 PM

Daniel Curran Unlawfully and willfully (Judicial Temperament)denied me my witness (Friends, family, Doctors and their reports/lab work/evidence/medical records)and asked me if I needed any one subpoenaed and when I said yes, he didn't make any of them show up for testimony. At one point his clerk looked at me and said "You don't need to be subpoenaing anyone, including your mother!" This is all illegal, including coercion by Daniel Curran toward me to try and force me to agree with what he is doing by unlawfully controlling the court room with no due process at all and not allowing me to have a fair trial and Daniel Curran is falsifying documents by filing reports and saying I have no evidence, and bringing in his friends and his own Doctors who have never met me or treated me or even talked to me before about my illness instead of my witness and Doctors to testify on my behalf to my court hearing. This guy needs to be looked at before "We the People" investigate him!

I am a Minnesota attorney with 25+ years of experience. First, a comment about the "low approval rate" at NHC in St. Louis. Their office is trying to help hearing offices around the country catch up on the huge backlog of claims. You can decline a video hearing and wait many more months for a hearing in person with a Minneapolis judge. Many attorneys tell me they always decline the video hearings because of these same statistics. What they don't understand is their actions may be the exact reason the statistics look so bad. The judges are much more likely to dismiss or deny a claim that does not have all the important evidence in or unprepared witnesses. An experienced attorney matters. My clients and I have appeared in front of Judge Haigler multiple times. You can tell he has always read the file carefully. (Not true of all judges.) Like appearing in front of the Supreme Court for oral arguments, he will tell the attorney at the beginning of the hearing the specific parts of the record he needs clarified or explained if we want to convince him of the severity of the medical problems. He is respectful and courteous questioning the claimant. He allows you to go past the usual one hour hearing time if you have a translator or essential witness.

Judge: Keith Allred
4/1/2014 2:01:11 AM

Allred was fair but the time it took for the dission to go thru writting and then singnature was way too long (2 1/2 months).

Judge: Keith Allred
3/30/2014 1:13:17 AM

Judge Allred gave me my day in court and thats all anyone should expect.I believe anyone who gets this judge will receive a fair hearing.

Judge: Gilbert Rodriguez
3/25/2014 3:33:03 PM

Without a doubt the worst ALJ nationwide -- and definitely the worst in Texas, which is saying something. Asks irrelevant questions of the claimants, gives hypos out of whole cloth, won't allow witnesses even though they're a due process right, and denies nearly every claim that comes before him, albeit after 6 months to a year most of the time. I'm not sure how this ALJ hasn't been investigated by the OIG for the SSA or, at least, been transferred and reprimanded for his conduct. If you get this judge, find a way to get a new one -- drop your case, reschedule the hearing, something, ANYTHING -- because if you go forward with this judge, it's not likely that you'll lose... it's assured.

Judge: Michael E Finnie
3/24/2014 3:36:45 PM

My son had to appear in front of Judge Finnie. My son is mentally and physically handicapped and this judge did everything he could to frighten my son. He gave him a very hard time. I was asked some questions as well and he brought me to tears. The SS application was denied although we are going to appeal. This man should be ashamed of himself picking on a mentally handicapped individual!

I felt that it was only right to update everyone after my previous post. My husband Wendell Lynn Wall 45 yrs old, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many passed away after fighting for 3+ years multiple illnesses and system shut downs. He went to be with God on February 8, 2014. He always said he would never live to see his disability approved. Congradulations Judge Curran another win under the belt.

My client had a hearing 8 months ago and has yet to receive a response. Rodriguez has the worst denial statistics in the nation. I wrote our Congressmen and the SSA Commissioner's office, also asked for a review of the case. If you have had problems with this "judge" please do the same. The only way to get him out of the office is to bring his despicable practices to everyone's attention. Your congressmen are elected officials with power in Washington, don't be afraid to use this. If you think you have a strong case ask for a Committee Review. If you want advice you may contact me at Jwoodhouse@edwardsdisabilitygroup.com.

I thought I'd back Mr. DeGregorio's statements. I've also had the "honor" of meeting this particular judge during my last hearing. He is so biased and judgmental that he refuses to look at the FACTS and EVIDENCE in front of him. He SHOULD NOT have the power to decide the fate and/or well being of a lab rat, let alone a human being.

Judge: Gilbert Rodriguez
10/8/2013 11:16:47 AM

Where did they find this Judge? It took him almost a year to reach a decision on a friend of mind case. He has 95 percent blockage behind his heart and cannot work. He has had several heart attacks and is unable to work. This judge waited an entire year before making his decision and he finds him not disabled.

Judge: Robert N Burdette
9/27/2013 2:57:39 PM

Judge Burdette was very courteous and respectful. The District Court Judges in Harris County could take some lessons from this Judge. As an attorney, it is refreshing to be in front of a Judge like Burdette.

Judge: W. Thomas Bundy

After having to deal with the particular ALJ twice now, I can confirm what most of the posters here have said. This man's action border on the criminal and hopefully someone within SSA will see this and conduct an investigation into Mr.Bundys actions. He does not accept what a claimant's Doctor's say nor does he consider any MRI reports as credible either. I wish there was a way to have this man removed and banned from ever serving in a legal position again. And Mr. Bundy, IF you happen to read this, you know how to contact me if you want to address my grievance. But be forewarned, I do have a few choice words for you that I will refrain from publicly posting. And if anyone else out there has had bad dealings with Judge Bundy, please post and maybe enough of us can get SSA's attention and get Mr.Bundy put to pasture where he belongs.

I have a hearing coming up in July 2013 does any one have any info about this Judge? I don't understand why Iam having to go through this process as my PC Doctor stated im permanent disabled due to Manic Bipolar, Depression and ADHD my state Psychitrist whom prescribes me my medication and follow ups wrote out the same report that I CANNOT BE LIABLE to work due to the fact that im Manic Bipolar Depression, Schizophrania, now when I went to a SSA psychiatrist she wrote out basically the same thing that my IQ is 40's and CANNOT WORK. However I managed to work in the past but got fired due to me making many errors and Owner did not agree that I needed to take medication and called me Crazy etc. I have been unemployed 2 yrs now and cant maintain to function properly, I forget a lot of things, cant do more that one thing cause I totally forget about what else im to do. So I just don't know why I still have to go through the process of a ALJ Court Hearing??? All the evidence is there from 3 different Psychiatrist and one whom is contracted with SSA...hmm can some one please help me out....I wrote this on behalf of my Sister, may God Bless her and help her with her case as she is not the same!

Judge: Mark Ferguson

I had my hearing in front of a younger guy he was in his late 30s to early 40s but i don't remember his name. He was very nice he asked me most of the questions looked at my evidence and asked my lawyer if he had anything to add. He said no he thought i had said everything i needed to so he want going to waste his time. It lasted maybe 15 minutes then asked me if i had a drivers license and said he was rolling my date back to the date of my car wreck. I don't know if i won or lost but my lawyer said he felt really good about it.

I've had two hearings with this ALJ and my experience is consistent with other comments here. He's very easy going, pleasant to work with, non-confrontational. Like most ALJ's over the last couple years, if they had a high award rate they seem to have gotten pressured to come down in the 45-60% range.

Judge: Mark Ferguson
3/27/2013 6:58:43 AM

Pleasant, easy going. Questions claimant generally and then lets rep develop specifics. His award rate has come down over the last year.

What a joke and embarrassment this ALJ is. How he can continue to get away with paying so little cases is disgusting and yet the administration has no problem going after ALJ's who they deem pay to much. Perhaps if everyone filed a complaint who appears before him someone will take notice but probably not.

Judge: Stanley M Schwartz
1/2/2013 8:06:28 AM

Great Judge! Really made the situation relaxing and explained the hearing process and his process in deciding cases. Too bad he's a senior Judge and only hears cases part of the year. He has been the best Judge I've been infront of. If you get Judge Schwartz you are VERY lucky!

Judge: Donald R Davis
12/19/2012 8:43:48 AM

This judge does not care about the mental help for the people like he pretend. With all evidence proving my claim he still denied me after saying verbally he approved my clinicals. Wonder why mentally ill people show their nature being a danger to others is because they are not receiving their medical help, which I am! I take my meds on time everyday that makes me sleep all day and he expect me to work. He based this case off of a lie from someone the government pays to lie not considering the truth in his face. I am Bipolar manic with several other mental illnesses taking several meds that keep me sedated there are witnesses he would not hear and barely asked me any questions. Other people that went before me had no atty won their case the same day and had the same disabilities by their own words. Yes, I will appeal and I'm not done yet he made several errors. People that don't need help are helped and the ones that do he just rather them kill themselves. I am sorry you are a grinch but you need to add love in your heart and quit wasting my time and tax payers money (which I put in my fair share until I could not do anymore) and fix your errors. How many more have you fraudulently denied????

Judge: Mark Ferguson

Seamed very down to earth. Spoke clearly and said to let him know if I did not understand the question so I felt better at ease. I did not fear him like I expected to 'fear the judge'. I felt like he was understanding of unusual circumstances, even though I did not receive a verdict that same day.

Judge: Donna M Edwards
11/30/2012 12:33:39 PM

Just had hearing with ALJ Edwards on 11-27-12. My 53yr old female with 10th grade education had been medically retired from VA Hospital where she worked 30 years as a nurses aide. ALJ only presented one hypo to the VE and that was the State Agency "Light" RFC, despite fact my client had already had 2 back surgeries and is scheduled for a fusion next month.

Judge: Michael S Hertzig
11/26/2012 4:53:52 PM

My hearing lasted almost an hour and a half in front of this judge. My attorney presented medical evidence from my medical records proving I was diagnosed with PTSD and Bipolar disorder. The vocational expert testified that I could get a job but not maintain it. After waiting 2 months he is requested a supplemental hearing and is now ordering that a medical expert be present and another vocation expert! It's already proven that I am disabled according to SSA guidelines yet he is still requesting another hearing when nothing has changed.

Judge: Gilbert Rodriguez
11/26/2012 1:45:40 PM

Judge: Daniel Curran
9/12/2012 5:01:56 PM

There should be no stars at all for this judge. I hand delivered evidence yet his assistant pulled only what she wanted him to see. She did not pull my financial records for which I had my SSA 1099s and bank statements to back me up. I had a letter of proof for reporting work but it did not use the word work so he would not even allow me to show it to him. There are major discrepancies in my case money wise but he would not allow that either because he was not aware of it. My case is three combined in to one. One took place years ago and I have a letter that proves I did not owe. Yet the monies were taken from me 5 years later without 60 days notice. I requested a waiver after receiving the notice yet the money was taken a few days later even though the letter stated they would take $50 a month out. I requested a waiver which was approved and made no difference. Did the judge know about that? No he did not because his assistant did not pull those papers and like I said he did not know it was three cases rolled into one. A social security worker took it upon himself to write a letter that stated I was being re-evaluated medically, I never reported workers comp. and I never reported my marriage. I have proof for all three which makes him a liar. Did the judge allow that? No he did not because his assistant did not pull those records to put with his files. My husband was no where around when these incidents occurred with exception of our marriage. We went to the social security office three times and they made a copy of our license. The license had an error on it and had to be corrected. We went before our marriage, after our marriage and when the license was corrected. How in the world was I able to get a new social security card and a new Medicare card and use them the next month after our marriage if I had never reported my marriage? Get real. Part of the monies have been paid back either by my agreeing to pay back $100 or $200 a month and by money being withheld without my knowledge or agreement. Those monies have not all been applied to the monies supposedly owed. Did the judge know that? No he did not because his assistant did not pull those records from my files and add to his. My attorneys filed for an appeal and a waiver the same month i received the letter of overpayment on one case. The local office lost those papers. That attorney no longer works social security cases for the Texas legal Hotline for Seniors so therefore he could not take my case back. The other attorney no longer works for Texas Legal Hotline for Seniors. Did the judge know that? No he did not because his assistant did not pull those papers from my files to add to his. Did he go over my files with a fine tooth comb as he stated? NO HE DID NOT. Why? His assistant did not pull those pertinent papers and therefore he did NOT have those pertinent papers to go over with a fine tooth comb. I have 90 days from the date of that hearing to come up with why my husband who was no where around during these incidents save the marriage...why we cannot afford to pay it back. We are both senior citizens and this is all so asinine. If you are working with a Vocational Rehabilitation Service your benefits continue. Then why did mine end?

Oh Danny boy Curran This judge is way out of touch with reality if you get him fold in your cards he is pure dog paste. He is on a sandy foundation on his decisions, dont take in medical statements,FROM A DOCTOR THAT YOU HAVE TO GO TO ,TO SHOW WHATS WRONG, THE DOCTORS DONT WRITE LIES,THERE JOB WOULD BE ON THE LINE. He is heartless and dont give a darn MAYBE IF I AM LUCKY ONE DAY HE WILL HAVE TO HAVE BACK SURGERY AND LET IT BE A BOTCHED JOB AND LET HIM SUFFER !!!!!!

Judge: Gilbert Rodriguez

This man has to be (currently) the worst ALJ in the nation and he is not particularly smart either. He never wants anyone to call a witness even though the hearing notice advises the disability claimant of the right to do so. He proceeds to ask nearly all irrelevant questions and often does not even listen to the responses given. He has an obvious agenda to deny everyone. He is an outlier who should be investigated.

Judge: Truett M Honeycutt
8/22/2012 9:04:10 AM

Judge Honeycutt likes to have an ME at all of his hearings. He likes to ask questions of EVERYONE before he allows you to ask questions, but he is not aggressive about it. Keep your questions in mind, and he will give you a fair opportunity. I have found him to be fair and thorough with his questioning.

Judge: Donna M Edwards
8/3/2012 8:55:59 AM

Negative ALJ. Likes to use Medical Experts to support her denials and even if the Medical Expert does not supply testimony desired, she will go with the state agency RFC.

Judge: Elizabeth B Dunlap
7/25/2012 8:35:03 AM

She is nice to the Claimant's which is most important but is extremely arrogant and think she knows it all.

Judge: Arthur J Shultz

I have a hearing with this judge today wow I am lost for words....

Judge: Don A Harper

REally knows the law and is very efficient in his manner of conducting hearing.

Judge: Michael E Finnie

Fair, non-partisan, non judgmental and never showing partiality. Twice I have been in front of Judge Finnie and each time was the same

My friend is due to see this judge soon and desperately needs to be on disability due to an enlarged heart condition that prevents him from doing almost anything around the house let alone work and he has to live somehow. if not on disability then he may end up homeless. what kind of man is this judge?

Judge: Ralph F Shilling
6/13/2012 12:23:40 PM

my heart rate goes up to 180 in less than five minutes after walking like a turtle. And this judge say's i can work.

Judge: W. Thomas Bundy
6/10/2012 6:50:31 PM

ALJ Bundy is a biased ALJ. He has been for years and will continue as SSA has no power. He does not care about the Claimant. He is only there to protect the administration's supposed trust fund.

Judge: David Gutierrez
6/8/2012 1:40:24 PM

Very nice and professional. You will win with good evidence and a good representative.

He is a bitter, bitter man that deserves no respect. You need to take ur case to federal court

Judge: Gilbert Rodriguez

I agree totally. Had two remand with him and treating source RFC's. (well supported by other Medicals) placing my 56 year old lady at less than sedentary. His one and only hypo to the VE was a Medium RFC......I think he should be removed from office

THis Judge was rude and he ask me the color of his robe I stated Black he shouted no its blue. Mine you I have Glaucoma alone with othe disabilities. He told me I was not going to get my disability and never to apply again. Him being the judge I thought thath was it and I never appeal his dicision.A Senator tried to help me and sent letters from my doctors to him so a I guess he was still upset and denial me again. My doctors say I will never be able to work again. Where do I go from here. Our country can take care of illegals and ppl that never worked here and do nothing for us. This is so saddening. It would be really good it there was no stars because he does no get my respect as a judge with any star.

Judge: Walter Orr

This judge needs to be investagated! He is not approving the people that really need the help.

Judge: Walter Orr
4/20/2012 12:36:10 PM

He denied me disabilty, and I still can't work. I was not treated fair at all.

Judge: Gilbert Rodriguez
4/17/2012 1:53:44 PM

He does not deserve one single star. I don't understand how one judge can approve 5% of disability hearings and is not being investigated whether or not he is being fair. There are lives who seriously need disability to see his statistics is completely disgusting.

Judge: Ralph F Shilling
4/17/2012 12:37:45 PM

I was denied my this judge. so many errors were made such disresprect beyond to describe. I would wish anyone this Judge.

Judge: Daniel Curran
4/15/2012 8:35:36 PM

This Judge seems to be an idiot. He not only disregards professional reports on one's disability, but he appears disinterested in the whole hearing process. He can't wait to get it over with and deny the poor soul's fate. Someone really needs to review him and make sure he doesn't affect anyone's life ever again. This is serious. He has no idea how devestating his decision is to a disabled person. Get him out of here.

Judge: Don A Harper
4/15/2012 9:33:16 AM

Went before Judge Harper on April 4th, 2012. I was impressed with Judge Harper. He listened to all sides equally. He asked precise questions and listened to my answers. He listened to my lawyer as well as the medical and vocational experts. All you can hope for is a Judge that will listen to all points equally. Even if I am denied benefits I do believe that Judge Harper gave me an honest and unbiased day in court.

Judge: Daniel Curran
4/13/2012 7:39:27 AM

To the individual who thought Judge Curran's decision was fair. You were lucky and fortunate not like the many others who were denied without justification

Judge: W. Thomas Bundy
4/11/2012 10:53:22 AM

Worst judge of all time!

Judge: Ralph F Shilling
3/29/2012 10:05:10 AM

I recently had an appeal with Judge Shilling, he spoken to me with compassion and hearthfelt for my suffering which seem genuine. This being the first for me and never seeing what a Disability Judge asked. Truth be told, the guy was hard to read, not even my representative could read him. He also doesn't seem to care to much for representative's in general. He wants to hear it from the horse's month per se.

Judge: Daniel Curran
3/27/2012 8:16:30 AM

Judge Curran knows how to elecit information needed to make a thorough assessment of a case. I found his decision to be fair and did not feel as if he were trying to trip me up on testimony I provided. Very impressed!!!

Judge: Daniel Curran
3/26/2012 2:57:24 PM

Another negative ALJ out of this office. Look for him to try and trip up Claimant's in regard to their testimony. His decisions appear poorly written as well.

Judge: W. Thomas Bundy
3/20/2012 10:38:22 AM

The states from this ALJ match up with how he conducts his hearings which are a joke. He will close hearings without allowing cross examination of the vocational expert and doesn't pay much attention to testimoy.

Judge: Walter Orr
3/19/2012 4:40:12 PM

Judge Orr need to know he was chosen to apply the law as said in the book not to interpret or try to push his personal thinking or agenda. That is absolutely ridiculous 10% approval rate on cases that comes in front of him.

Judge: Joseph Liken
3/18/2012 1:16:37 AM

This judge is a good listener and very fair
